More than a month.
That's ok, gives me plenty to say.

Delivering pizzas at the beach is the most interesting job I've had to date.  Tourist areas really show you the worst of human behavior.  I don't know why it is that scum always wide up on the tide, but I'm surprised at this point that I haven't been shot or propositioned by a hooker.  Though two girls did offer me a threesome the other night.  I wouldn't have paid them.

Memorial Day weekend brought 500,000 extra bodies, all of them on the wave of Black Bike Week, the most politically incorrect but strangely accepted name for a public event I've ever heard of.  It also brought the most ignorant, disrespectful, violent and racist group of people I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.  The streets turned into parades of human garbage that I had to wade through for twelve to fourteen hours a day for the entire weekend.  Relentlessly, I was picked at, yelled at, pushed, shoved, grabbed and threatened.  Two times within thirty minutes I was only barely saved from being robbed, once very violently.  It was hard to continue delivering pizzas to people who not only didn't tip you, but also called you a 'punkass white boy' to your face.  The police were out, but only to keep the peace and prevent any riots.  Laws, traffic and otherwise, were basically abandoned and disrespect to the max was shown with dance contests staged in the flashing lights of a police cruiser.  Over 3,000 handguns were confiscated over the course of the weekend but with only one violent death reported.  I was surprised.  I felt the whole weekend as though I were inches away from being kidnapped and decapitated in the name of Allah... or Eddie Murphy.
Damn, that was racist.

My bad.

The rest of the summer has been alright thus far.
The weekends are busy and the tourists friendly, overall.

My plans with joining the Peace Corps are still active, though I've thought more about it lately and decided that it would probably be smart to look for work with a volunteer or relief agency first.  I have no background with volunteer organizations, other than the Boy Scouts and I fear that they won't take my application seriously.  I'm asking my mom tomorrow about what she knows of Red Cross programs for overseas relief.  I'm wasted on customer service.

A few nights ago, I was delivering pizzas to a hotel near Broadway at the Beach when I noticed an SUV off the side of the road.  It's back tire was in the air and the entire front of the vehicle was dipped into a deep water filled ditch.  I pulled over to check on the situation and found a young girl approaching me as I got out of the car.  She seemed to be laughing at first and I thought it was just a bunch of dumb high school kids, but then I noticed that she was actually crying, bawling her eyes out.  I asked her if she was alright, if she was hurt and couldn't get anything out of her.  She seemed ok though, what with still having the power to walk, so I went to the SUV to make sure no one inside was injured.  Another woman came around, met me halfway and then immediately went for the first girl, grabbing a fistful of her hair and pulling her head through the air.  I yelled at her to let go and got between them, grabbing the second woman's arm to force them apart.  Once I got them apart, I held the woman back with one arm and dialed 911 with the other.  The first girl looked absolutely distraught and I felt sorry for her.  The second woman yelled at me to not call the police on her, but just as I hung up, a cruiser pulled up.  The police were amazingly inept and I ended up doing their job for them until such time as the two of them called for backup and decided eventually to get out of the car and handle the situation.  Once he knew I wasn't part of the problem, he wanted to let me go.  I had to tell the officer that proper protocol was to hear what I had seen.

I don't know what ended up happening, but I made sure the cops knew that the younger girl had been assaulted and didn't appear to be at fault.  I felt sorry for them both, but the whole event just made me feel good about myself.  I feel like the only time I really shine is when I'm handling a chaotic situation.  I handle myself better on reflex and instinct better than I ever do during normal life.  My confidence hides from normality.

My mom and sister told me I should be a cop.
I'm thinking helping with disaster relief would be more fulfilling than writing traffic tickets.

Speaking of which, I got a speeding ticket the other day.

Happie plant enjois teh sunrize.

Hahaha, don't feel like a stalker! It made me feel special. And I don't really have any kind of messaging device anymore. I don't really have my own computer anymore...

I am currently at the library at school which I do get on pretty much every day.

I'd love to catch up...

Facebook? Myspace? Or just on here...
