| | This is absolutely mind boggling.
It is past time for the world governments to come together and deliver the aid so many desperate people require. What is it, 56,000 people dead now? The BBC says it could reach into the 100,000s by the end of the month because of the proliferation of water-borne disease and lack of food and basic supplies. The Burmese government is doing absolutely nothing, is in fact keeping everyone else from doing absolutely anything and most of the rest of the world is doing nothing but giving newscasters overtime.
Is this not why the UN was founded?
Times like this, I wish I were in charge. I'm not one for encouraging armed conflict and government takeovers (oh wait!) but in this case, I sincerely believe that a special strike team should be sent in to take down and capture the leaders of the Burmese government. As this is happening, the international aid relief ships being told to wait outside Burmese waters should go forward and DELIVER THE FUCKING AID. Most of the time, I agree that governments should be let alone without the input of other governments, but when one is killing and murdering it's own people and blockading relief that could potentially save thousands of lives, it should be bitch slapped and taken down a step.
Anyway.
Bike week in Myrtle Beach. Such fun.
It's great not being able to listen to your car radio because the two leather clad Angels beside you are too busy comparing penises. Even better when you realize that out of all the hundreds of bikers you've seen in a day, three or four of them were wearing helmets while all the rest would rather end up quadriplegic in the event of a fender bender.
I'm told this next weekend will be even worse. So bad that if you drive down Ocean Boulevard on the Monday morning afterward, you'll see the hotels throwing out all their furniture because people tend to forget where to shit when drunk.
And I get to deliver pizza to them all!
